Yes but I'd go down backwards, with a short grip on poles for 3 points contact at all times, making deliberate footholds. That way I'd have a better chance of protecting my head from making contact with the ground and a better chance of arresting a slide. I can't quite tell but it looks like he has micro-spikes on his boots, that's good. That or full crampons.

I might be over-cautious here but I've tumbled about 10m down a steep slope before and would have gone a lot further if I hadn't stopped by half grabbing half crashing in to some exposed stone. It hurt a lot and I bashed my knee quite bad, which swelled, and bruised my ribs.

I probably wouldn't go to fucking China, though. It may have some nice land but it's a total bugman country (worse than the UK even).
