>only decent Slavic countries (Czechia and Slovenia) are German rapebabiesreally makes you think
>>217211805trudna means tired in SLOzgoden means early
>>217211900In Polish:trudny - laborious/difficultzgodny - agreed/agreeable
>>217211805Nigga you're literally turkish
>>217212078'strudzony' means tired tho
>>217212078in Serbian trudna means pregnant and zgodan means pretty
>>217211900what do Slovenes think about Czechs? do you wish you shared a border with them and could have joined Czechoslovakia instead of Yugoslavia 100 years ago? now you'd be undisputedly Central European and no one ever would call you "Balkan"
>>217212116it's utrujen nowadays here too, truden is 19th century speak
>>217212103Turks are as much of a nation as Americans
>>217212170can be 'utrudzony' in Polish too
>>217212166a number of Czechs moved to Ljubljana until about the 1960s, they were mostly educated and wealthy, not manual laborers like our Serbs. One of them started the Kolinska brand, another invented Cockta, and a third directed some of our classic movies such as Vesna.
>>217212228>a number of Czechs moved to Ljubljana until about the 1960s,even after WW2? interesting, why?a lot of Czechs moved to Galicia in the AH times and they were also mostly well educated officials or engineers, they got polonized pretty fast and their descendants often achieved some kind of success here as well, especially in business but also other areas. Like one of our famous actors was Gustaw Holoubek, from a Czech family. Yes, having your own ethnic middle class is something we always envied Czechs. They had strong presence in cities, even under German domination they would still develop their own businesses, firms, gain proper education etc. Meanwhile here native Polish middle class was almost non-existent until WW1 or maybe even WW2, our cities were overwhelmingly Jewish. That's why we don't have any famous brands, companies and no proper work ethics as it's something that needs centuries and passed from generations to generations to be fully shaped.
>>217212228Slovenia is that cute little country that is generally unknown to the public but it turns out the earth couldn't revolve without it because it has some super-specialized firms in particular areas that are hard to be replaced with, even if barely anyone knows their name and they generally don't even advertise themselves still in their respective areas they're crucial for existence of bigger companies that need their stuff to exist. Kinda like German Mittelstandswirtschaft. For example, not so long time ago I learnt that basically all small- and medium-scale cheese producers in Poland use equipment from a Slovene firm "Plevnik". Apparently it's one of few firms in Europe that produces this kind of machines for this type of clients.
>>217212579funny, a friend of my dad's made a living by making beer taps for German clients
>>217212670>a friend of my dad's made a living by making beer taps for German clientsdoes he put the "made in Slovenia" label on them? how do Germans react to this? i remember there were several scandals in the UK when it turned out some "symbols" of British food culture are produced in Polandhttps://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/anger-cadbury-makes-dairy-milk-12457521
>>217212767cadbury is underrated, much better than milka imo
Slovenia feels like a paradise, German-tier economy and cities, Italian-tier climate and beaches, Switzerland-tier mountains, Slavic language and on the top of that - widely available Serbian music and food. It's like putting the best out of every region in Europe into one country.
sup dudes
>>217213133same question >>217212166 but to you
>>217213184Nothing, they are completely off our radar. We know they are not poor, it is a transit country to Croatia and almost every outdoor Czech has been to the Triglav area (me included).Since we know nothing about them, we don't mind them. +We do not consider them to be the Balkans.
>>217211805forgot polska thoughbeit
>>217213305>Nothing, they are completely off our radar.Weird, since they're so similar to you, in a sense they're culturally closer to you than Slovaks> almost every outdoor Czech has been to the Triglav area (me included).is it as important to you as Gerlach?
>>217211805Why does it feel like Czech in particular has a lot of false friends with other slavic languages?
>>217213506>Weird, since they're so similar to you, in a sense they're culturally closer to you than SlovaksI understand what you mean, and you're right. Until 1918, Slovakia was part of Hungary, for hundreds of years, with no ties to Moravia, Silesia, or even Bohemia. But you're missing the most important part - family ties. Almost every Czech family has some personal ties to Slovakia + ongoing migration from Slovakia.>is it as important to you as Gerlach? We are not interested in Gerlach, it's just one of many mountains in the Tatras (and inaccessible without a professional guide).
>>217213586we invented the language as a prank and everyone fell for it
>>217213634>We are not interested in Gerlach, it's just one of many mountains in the Tatrasbut it's the tallest one and it was the tallest Czechoslovak mountain until recently so I thought it bears some cultural significance to you >>217213586Czech as a modern language was largely reconstructed in 19th century by linguists, many words were simply made up as they felt sounded good to them. Maybe it was their goal so they don't resemble other languages too much so no one could accuse them of straight out borrowing words and then claim that "Czech is just a dialect of X".
>>217213713>it bears some cultural significance to younopeMany Czechs still travel to Fatra or the Tatras, but honestly - fuck them. It's overpriced crap.Last year I tried the Polish part - a huge difference- new infrastructure, great service, and much cheaper.
>>217211805>German rape babies>More genetically Slavic than South Slavs or Russians>East Austrians are also genetically more Slavic than thoseKara (black)-George, please think of something other than rape!
>>217213790>Last year I tried the Polish part - a huge difference- new infrastructure, great service, and much cheaper.you mean the Tatras?weird, Poles usually praise the Slovak side instead, saying it's cheaper and better there
>>217213883>you mean the Tatras?Tatras + BieszczadySlovaks are selling a 20-year-old car for the price of a new BMW, while you and Ukrainians are selling a new car for a fair price (and still cheaper than Slovaks)>saying it's cheaper and better thereThat's definitely not the case. They may have more interesting hills, but that's all.
