>132k for a wooden bungalow
do Americans really?
>>
>>217224184
its a mobile home, so even cheaper
the over half hectare of land is what costs the money
>>
>>217224184
>1.6 acres
thats a lot of space to build something
>>
>>217224184
that land is worth more than the mobile home.
>>
>>217224184
I paid $410,000 for a 1.1k square foot home on ~0.3 acres of land back in january
my mortage company gives me a monthly report on what they estimate my homes value to be. last month they said it was around $450,000
>>
>>217224237
Doesn't look mobile
>>
>>217224343

>>217224184
Assuming he put zero money down and stays there for 30 years, isn't this close to a million dollars?
>>
>>217224343
if you look at the pitch of the roof you can see how narrow it is
they pull it behind a truck with pilot cars and a large load permit on the highway, although these are usually just moved once and never again.

>>217224364
How is there even a housing crisis in the US when anybody can just buy one of these and move it to New York or Austin
>>
>>217224412
land costs a lot of money anywhere there are good jobs available. this is why we have trailer parks full of these houses tightly packed together
>>
>>217224184
Did you miss the 1.6 acres?
>>
>>217224412
insurances don't like mobile homes
>>
>>217224444
US is so huge I doubt anybody does regular inspections of empty plots of land and whether there are houses there. Even if somebody finds you living on their land what are they gonna do? You can just move your house again

Also why dont you just buy a luxury trailer and live there
>>
>>217224448
Why would you need insurance If you have a mobile home? If another hurricane is expected to hit the place where you are at then just move
>>
>>217224412
there's a housing bubble because jews keep giving million dollar loans for a plywood box to underserved folx and the federal govt subsidizes the whole hustle through semi public mortgage lenders and subsidies.
Basically Americans are encouraged by all means to buy a box for a million dollars (actual build cost: 40k), and Schlomo takes another million and a half on top over the next thirty years out of the good of his heart.
Same thing is happening with student loans, medical loans, etc. Everything ends up with a Jew taking a 60% cut in the name of affordability.
This is why every civilization that lasts bans usury.
>>
>>217224513
1 million is nothing in the US, you can literally make that in 10 years as a regular white guy with 100 IQ
>>
>>217224464
if you can't afford a place to live you can't afford to ship an entire house that often. it isn't an easy process and you need water, sewer, and electric connections wherever you go. also most places have property tax and your structures are also taxed. they find new ones with satellite images and airplanes. i built my own house and they found it and taxed me for it within a few years, so they would certainly find you in a populated area.

and yeah people do live in cars if they have no money but most people don't want to be sneaking and moving around with a conspicuous trailer all the time
>>
>>217224526
before tax, bucko
>>
>>217224533
>be sneaking and moving around with a conspicuous trailer all the time
Why? It's not that big of an issue if it helps you not pay rent which is like 50% of monthly expense of your average american
>>
>>217224553
Americans don't think in practical terms friend. It's just one dopamine hit after another.
Yes you could move here and be smarter. Why do you think all first generation immigrants get at least comfortable? Americans are spoiled and retarded. They are not willing to suffer.
>>
>>217224537
1 million is easy in the US, i could make that in 15 years tops as a single guy If I were born there. Literally just
>get a trailer
>move to NYC (median annual salary is 80k gross, 60k net)
>NYC is like 80% non white with an average IQ of 90 so you should easily be able to get a 100-150k job as a white, skinny guy with average IQ
>other expenses like gas, electricity, sewage, internet, groceries are at most 10k annually
>dump my entire salary into index funds that usually have a 10% annual rate of return

You're a millionaire within 15 years easily, probably less
>>
>>217224598
Yes, I know someone who did this in SF while working for Oracle.
>>217224577
>>
>>217224577
the issue with americans is that they never experienced actually poverty or lack of social mobility. Here in poorope you make 30k per year, 50% of that is taxed and proper houses are also 1 million dollars while virtually everything is more expensive. If Americans living in a country with 2-3x the wages of Europe, half the prices of essential goods and a much easier path to starting your own buisness can't make it then you're just retarded, plain and simple
>>
>>217224412
you have to own the land it is on
>>
>>217224660
just get a trailer then and do this>>217224598
>>
>>217224660
you can park a motorhome on the street as long as there's no emissions. They would need a court order to move you. This is a skill issue as usual
No, cops cannot evict you by themselves
>>
>>217224237
yeah the land is what usually were the money is at. you can build a mansion here for 500k usd here but its gonna be in the middle of nowhere. the same money gives you a mid home in an average city
>>
>>217224632
there are many americans that experience poverty and i do agree that it would be much easier for them to escape it here than most places. the issue is that so many of them are addicted to drugs, have criminal records, crushing medical debt, or simply don't want to escape poverty. a lot of people take pride in being poor rednecks and don't know how to change that because they already screwed their life up so bad and didn't graduate elementary school. a huge number of our homeless, for example, prefer it because it gives them easy access to drugs. poor people can escape but a lot of them have already ruined their lives and don't know a way out.
>>
fvck you guys i svffer
>>
honestly I think vanmaxxing is the true way. Those mobile homes draw too much attention from the (((federal agents))). A standard unmarked white van is just that. Gotta live in the mobile pod and shit
>>
>>217224760
>I "experience poverty" cause I can't stop doing drugs (on the governments dime after I cash my 3k in SNAP checks)
take a trip out of the country faggot
you gonna see some shit
>>
>>217224760
When I said actual poverty I meant a financial situation that's actually inescapable. Being poor because you spend all your money on drugs or because you simply don't want to work and prefer to be a street thug is just being retarded. I guess If you have a serious incurable health issue where you need to spend thousands on healthcare per month then I can understand it, but let's be honest, that's a tiny percentage of all the "poor" people in America
>>
>>217224184
> Americans are proud of taking a loan
right gotta make mr shekelshtein at goldman sachs happy
>>
>>217224831
ur gonna be working either way

>Why would you need insurance If you have a mobile home?

The state requires it so if a hurricane wipes you out, you are not literally homeless. This happened to my mom's tenants after a storm wiped out our original family home. There was nothing for them because the tenants were old with no money, so they slept on the street until the police bussed them to california. We are still trying to collect back rent from them over it.
>>
>>217224237
In 99% of the country 1.6 acres of unimproved land is significantly cheaper than even the shittiest house. I'd be shocked if even 20% of the 132k price was land.
>>
>>217224858
>tenants were old with no money, so they slept on the street until the police bussed them to californi

>>217224815
you gotta interact with the homeless more. i wouldn't blame a vegetable for being poor and some of these people are brain damaged like you wouldn't believe it. its their fault they are on drugs but you can't tell me a homeless meth head in a tent is in less poverty than what polanon is describing. not excusing them but i was trying to explain how people can be so poor here when we have so much opportunity to avoid it. same situation with someone who spends most of their life in prison. their fault but it's easy to end up poor that way.
>>
>>217224858
>The state requires it so if a hurricane wipes you out, you are not literally homeless.
This is not true.
Wagies have insurance because it's required by their mortgage contract. Of course Schlomo's cousin Isaac provides the insurance.
>>
>>217224914
I live in Central Philadelphia. All the homeless are either brainded niggers (they were as bad before the drugs) or white kids from the boondocks having a phase (eventually someone picks them up). None of these people are poor.
The niggers are poor but if you gave them a billion dollars they'd be poor again next week.
>>
>>217224914
>it's easy to end up poor that way
It's not easy, it's actually pretty hard to make so many terrible choices in life unless
>just don't commit any serious crimes and dont do hard drugs for decades until your brain is mush
i dont get how that's difficult
>>
>>217224965
ah. where i'm at most of the homeless are natives. they have no jobs in the villages and live off gibs. when they get to the cities for various reasons, often medical or for simply being kicked out, they have no money and are already alcoholic and addicted to drugs. they never recover and they don't want help so they die homeless.
>>217224978
i don't get how it is difficult either but if it wasn't for some people no one would be poor here. my point is that after you reach that point it can be hard to recover.
>>
Do euros realize that the usa has a worse property price to income ratio than most of their countries ?? You fags post some meme cheap houses that are either in the middle of nowehre where there are no jobs or located in cities that are like 90% black with third world tier murder rates. I remeber a leaf on pol was going over how cheap american homes were and he posted he house from gary, indiana
>>
>>217225126
to be fair i'm pretty sure yours is much worse
>>
>>217225155
it is but thats not the point. I have seen many euros making threads similar to this when housing in major american cities are often more expesnive than housing in their countries even adjusted for income. They will unknownigly post a house from flint, michigan for 30k and not understand their is a reason it is so cheap
