In the US, we have this tradition where everyone in our family sits down for an evening meal. We call it 'dinner', and even made unique pastries called 'dinner rolls' to go along with it. Sometimes I think about other cultures that don't have this experience and feel bad for them.
Is there a similar unique cultural tradition in your country that's not shared by anyone else?

We're a simple country. A peaceful country. We do not get involved in other people's affairs, we focus on our own families and love our communities.

>and it comes from the french word dinné.

>The word "dinner" comes from
Old French disner ("to dine"), evolving from Vulgar Latin disiunare, meaning "to break one's fast," similar to breakfast, as it was originally the first and main meal of the day, often eaten midday.

France has long lunch and dinner time. Even at work you get a minimum of 1h for lunch break. I don't get most schools where kids eat a sandwich for lunch, we have a real hot lunches.

"With 2 hours and 13 minutes spent each day on lunch and dinner, the French are the champions of time spent at the table, even ahead of the Italians and the Spanish."
