What do you do for living in your country?I am just an usual nerd. I write software. I dont think I could really do anything else. I earn around median wage right now but I expect my pay to grow over the years. Its clean and nice honestly. The problems in the job are useless people who stop me from doing my job, eg. devs who are seniors who honestly shouldnt have a job anymore.
welding. It isn't clean, it isn't fun, the people suck, but no one wants to do it so here I am
>>217553289pay is good though?
>>217553289>the people suckAny cool stories?
I process invoices and order goods for my company. In theory it's so simple an AI could do it but my company is a jungle of senseless and bloated processes, janky software, no training and unclear hierarchies. Nothing works right here and I find it so depressing and frustrating that I just feel miserable.I'm gonna quit soon though. I have nothing new lined up either but I for 2-3 months I just wanna do nothing. I'd like to work in a library or some kind of archive but I dunno how hard it is to find a job like that
>>217553687In Germany finding work is easy
Nobody would hire me. Online is useless, they all require college degrees, even janitorial.
>>217552735I look after and enforce zoning laws. It's mostly boring but sometimes there are fun cases where very old borders conflict with current land uses.
>>217554012you must work or you die
>>217552735>What do you do for living in your country?i do my best
>>217552735I have one of the most boring jobs in the world, I'm a land surveyor technician
>>217554296what the job is like?
>>217554408Boring and dumb and having to deal with construction workers is annoying
>>217552735I flush pipes, empty septic tanks and take naps in my truck. Been doing it for many, many years. Pic was first day on the job.
Payroll for Eastern European countries like Croatia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia.
>>217554431do you literally walk over roads and put points
>>217554521for what
>>217554535Road construction was my first job, I'm working on dam construction now, but the job is basically the same. You're just staking out shit and then you check what the morons did.
>>217554296I used to do this back in my country, the company I worked for did the mapping and corrosion tests for oil and gas pipelines so we would spend the day walking around the oil fields, the fridays I helped at office doing maps, it was fun.
>>217554570What what? We’re a 3rd party audit firm who works with the biggest tech company in the world. We make sure that the payments for the respective employees, authorities(social security and taxes) are paid in time.
>>217554869sounds silly
>>217554955Yeah it is. Also, let me rant a bit.In January 2026, Bulgaria will transition to using EUR as their main currency and me and my team isn’t ready for it.A lot of us is in Holiday leaves already and there’s a lot of bugs that need to fixed before the payroll and the client wants the project to be deployed 1st week of January.
>>217555034at least in Finland the transition was that you could use the old currency for years so the world wont stop
I’m a social worker (male). Most of my colleagues are femoids.
>>217552735I collect my pension on the 18th every month. Never had a job. Never will.
