Less than 3% of korean men get plastic surgery compared to 20-30% of korean women

>South Korea
>First world
>>
>>217578507
most of them are koreaboos because of k-pop, or rather "hallyu" or k-wave. the south korean government actively promotes k-pop and k-wave to generate soft power for the country. you can say that a lot of koreaboos are those that have fallen for a psy-op of the south korean government
>>

> 20-30% of korean women
Its got to be at least 50% for roasties though
>>
>>217578900

They are humanity's first cyborg race

>>217579117
the other aspect of it is that those that fall for it do so when they are young and impressionable. they're mostly young girls too

is there something that would appeal more to men? i feel like maybe kpop and k-dramas are aimed at women

I think the writing system is really pretty and efficient ( you dont have to learn thousands of characters like you do with other asian languages) but that is not enough of a reason to learn a language

It's because korean gigakims are the most attractive subset of males on this earth

Anime, which is why men think Japanese women are beautiful but not Korean women, and women think that Korean men are handsome but not so much Japanese men, despite the average non-Asian being unable to tell the two countries apart.

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with explicit government promotion of culture.
Admittedly, SKGov's Hallyu policy did negatively my view of K-Culture as it makes me suspicious of it.

Actually, I sometimes wonder if Chinese culture like Genshin Impact or ZZZ is pushed by the CGov to promote China.
I'm sure China is promoting themselves, but the government being assholes makes people dislike their cultural output, which is a shame.
I always wondered that the people who play those games are shills or foreign operative attempting to increase China's standing.
So, C-Culture is also suspicious.

ACTUALLY actually, I read here about "Cool Japan" and found out that Japan also promotion of their culture!
It makes me wonder if Japanese culture would have the impact it has today without JPGov intervention.
Like would anime be as popular without this support?
Would have this very website existed without that push?
Maybe it would have still happened as Japan was competitive in the late 1900s, with the technology boom.

ACTUALLY ACTUALLY actually, don't alot of East Asian countries do this. I heard Thailand promotes and supports their restaurants.
Interesting...

It's bizarre...like Japan culture is pretty ubiquitous on the Internet and it doesn't feel out of place or forced.
But K-Culture, C-Culture....it feels weird. Like, it's being forced, but most people aren't interested.
But maybe J-Culture was forced...but it's overwhelming success has made it feel "natural" and people don't mind.

To be clear, I'm not saying any of the culture pushes are bad.
ZZZ and Genshin Impact? I like cute girls. I don't really plan on playing these games, but they look fun from the minimal gameplay I see from related YouTube videos.
K-Pop? Some songs are catchy enough, so I save to playlists.

But I say this as an American.
I'm sure I'm seeing this through tinted glasses and I'm sure non-Americans feel American culture is forced on them in some ways.

I agree with your opinion about Korea but Ireland is called "Korea of Europe" here. You guys are seething about England still now just like Korea is seething about Japan forever. I think that's why Ireland is still looked down by other countries even though they got higher GDP per capita than UK.

They had the P2W F2P MMOs in the 2000s that were pretty popular worldwide.
>>
>>217582137
They are 100 times more based tho
Imagine a korean insurgent attacking Tokyo...vgh..
>>
>>217582137
yeah i feel confused about the potato flags on this board (at least two personalities) worshipping japan and attacking korea (though at least one of them seems to be taiwanese and/or chinese, but i won't dig deeper)
because the proportion of netouyo siding with eire in the england v ireland shitflinging contest wouldn't even reach 20%
it's also interesting that some korean female professor, korea's almost sole expert on irish history, appointed by the impeached former right-wing president and still serving as chairperson of the government-affiliated historical research foundation, is attacked as "far-right" precisely because she despises both ireland and korea as regressive subhuman non-countries while praising britain and japan kek

the pic just shows how inefficient English is in their written forms
