Church my parents attended has an annual Christmas musical thing called the singing christmas tree. There was a large choir riser arrangement in the shape facsimile of a tree. With flashing lights. The choir stood on the tree risers and sang songs. I eas forced to be involved with this through the children's choir for several years. I left the church in part because of how ridiculous it was. It was barely tangentially related to the religion at all.
