I usually don't prefer wines from the southern hemisphere, but it's not enough of a flavour difference to turn them away. They just seem a little too inoffensive most of the time.I don't like American/Californian Chardonnay. I'd never tell someone "This is piss. Why are you pouring your guests goblets of urine?" but Cali oeni and most of our reds are definitely wines that I would put down inconspicuously and leave behind after a few sips.
