Copper is bretty good. Sweden used to be a copper-state basically providing all of europes copper. Even experimented with copper money to be independent of silver/gold, but it didn't work out.

I live near the biggest open pit mine on the planet, and it mines copper. You can look down on it from a nearby mountain and still not see the bottom.

This is how Führer Kast summarized it: “In 2005, Chile produced 5 million tons, 38% of the world’s copper, and it was estimated that by 2025 it would reach 8 million tons. It remains at 5 million tons and now represents 24% of the world’s copper; this is something that must be corrected.”
