In 99% of the cases these boomers have never exercised, only ever eaten junk food (gummie bears are not seen as a once-in-a-while kind of treat, they are being eaten by many people as snacks in between meals for example) and drank alcohol since age 14, making their illnesses preventable.Hell, even if these people are known smokers will health insurance pay.Most young and health conscious people see this as a great injustice among many and thus they migrate the saner places, like Switzerland or the US.(Yes, if you are rich you can get out of mandatory health insurance but this just goes to show that in the EU you can't work towards wealth, you can't go from rags to riches. If you are born poor, you'll die poor. To get rich? Inherit your wealth. This is the polar opposite of America and its values and that's one of the reasons why Europe loses on the international level, which becomes more and more obvious.)

Someone else will for it!"To achieve a healthy population base the opposite signals would have to be sent.The Ancient Greeks already realized this, that's why Aristotle was a proponent of physical education.Or take for instance to Roman saying "Mens sana in corpore sano" which translates to "a healthy mind in a healthy body".We in Germany have streets named aftern "Turnvater Jahn" who introduced PE here.So while we still have "exercise" as a subject in school that's for historical reasons only and can't get people to actually pursue health, as they just sit on their asses all day as adults. It's the same with related stuff such as diet.Just goes to show how much are society has regressed. Instead of building upon the ideas of those that came before we are destroying ourselves because of greed.
