Southern fishing companies have psyoped South Brazilians into thinking shrimps are a luxury food, they think a 200gram bag of frozen gray shrimps is worth 50Brl (10USD) in Brazil, the 8th largest producer of shrimps in the world, they're somehow so oblivious to this scam even the CEOs of those companies are now selling those to other brazilians at these outrageous prices. Made this pic today from a supermarket here in Ceará, the one on the left is from a fishing company based here in the NE, the one on the right is from the South. Over 3x the price for the same product. And I could get it for much cheaper in a public fish market too, about 25 to 30 per kilogram (200grams are 1/4 of a kilogram). This is ridicuous, I don't even know why the supermarket bought it or who they expect will buy it. And I don't think it's because of logistics because those were probably fished around the same place. What causes it? economy of scale, or just the greed?
>>217665980do you know Brazil nuts are 5–6 times cheaper in the US than in Brazil?they also blame logistics for that, as Brazil has a difficult terrain and bad infrastructure.whatever, i only buy cheap locally produced shit. I just bought today 500g of fresh clean sardines for ~2 USD
