>Has vast lands, 18th largest country
>Nearly infinite amount of all kinds of natural resources, uranium, rare earth metals, oil and coal
>population of 3.5 million and a healthy demographic

>Has the same development as Moldova, a tiny eastern European country with separatists and 2.4 million people, with a declining population and nearly no natural resources.

its over, there are always promises of development and getting rich in the future but nothing ever happens, the country declines, things get more and more expensive while salaries remain shit, I feel like this country is gonna stay in its underdeveloped impoverished state forever until either russia or china decides to take over

well for 7 months, mongolia is mostly warm and hot from being very sunny, but its just 4 months of extreme coldness, and plus extremely cold places like canada and russia still manage to build a great developed rich country exist, mongolia isnt yakutia tier when it comes to climate and weather
>>
>>217668768
The first 3/4ths of what you said could be used to apply to the majority of the world as of late.
>>
>>217668735
To make use of those resources you lack the technology, your population is low, you're landlocked, your climate sucks, you're between two influential countries which happen to beat you at the very thing your country has(resources). You're kinda fucked.
>>
>>217668938
We and Canada still have better location and more soil to grow something on it. Your soil is almost desert.

>low population

>between two influential countries
>sanctioned and isolated
>ruled by a meme dictator
still richer than mongolia
>>217668954
yes all countries have a shitty economy and corruption these days, but thats why we have statistics and measurement to see which countries suck more than other countries

>>
>>217669709
moldova is trapped between russosphere and nato
same with belarus, trapped between the west and russia, and isolated(historical warzone between the west and russia)
kazakhstan is nearly the same
but mongolia is way behind in development compared to these states

Did you also see a pattern with Mongolia and Moldova? Both were part of much larger empires, both demanded independence for... reasons, and now both are essentially backwaters. Obviously not being a part of a larger country has many perks; clearly it's not all hookers and sunshine, but at the same time, you are literally not allowed question why your development is so low and your country is this poor. You arealdy know the answer.

Is your your existence much more free than your cousins in inner Mongolia? Compared to them, you must be so much happier, and the quality of life must be much higher in outer Mongolia right? At least you guys aren't chink slaves right? If yes, the it looks like it was good that you guys got your independence. It was all worth it in the end, fuck gdp and quality of life and HDI and all those meme metrics, you have something that can't be measured in LED lights on buildings, you have freedom!

Both Moldova and Mongolia made their own beds, and now you guys get to lie in it.

enslavement is worse than living as a poor but independent people. Those statistics being high in inner mongolia only benefits chinese settlers. Thats like saying a black american in the 1800s should be thankful for living in a developed rich country like in america but he is still a poor slave who wont recieve any benefits of high development.
>You arealdy know the answer.
Corrupt and weak institutions and incompetent polticians, kazakhstan should be the model to follow, same history of independence from a larger empire but kazakhstan is actually pretty developed and rich

Even the US is a good example, the US declared independence and protection from the worlds most powerful empire at the time while they were rednecks and hillbillies as a colonial backwater where they send prisoners to, but with extremely competent and genius leadership, america rules the world know

Everything you're saying is very true, but at the same time, I don't believe your life/your average Mongol's life would be much worse if you grew up in Inner Mongolian conditions vs your current conditions in Mongolia. The whole point of your thread was to talk about how far behind you guys have fallen. I just don't think it could be worse being in China instead; might not be much better, but worse? Also, you'd at least have the opportunity to move to a nicer Chinese city if you were a citizen, and as an ethnic minority, you don't have to 1 child policy, you have guaranteed spots in every single Chinese college (no gaokao required), and you get preferential treatment in housing. Don't misunderstand me: i'm not saying it's all amazing and everyone lives in harmony. But again: would it be worse than your situation now, yes or no?

>Even the US is a good example, the US declared independence and protection from the worlds most powerful empire at the time while they were rednecks and hillbillies as a colonial backwater where they send prisoners to, but with extremely competent and genius leadership, america rules the world know

Ok then, since you brought up the comparison, it looks like Mongolia and the US are in the exact same position; Mongolia is just a bit behind, like 1800s behind. So in 200 years, you guys should be where America is now, ruling the world, #1 super power. If that's not what you're saying, why did you make the comparison between Mongolia and the US? These situations are categorically different. But really, I'm just dicking around; it's just an interesting thought experiment at the end of the day. Mongolia has accomplished a lot in the last 100 years and i'm sure it's only going up.

You're OK considering you're landlocked and squeezed between China and Russia.
Mongolian culture is cool, love you guys on Netflix. That's a nice tourism buff.
Your low population means you can easily grow through agriculture, mining and tourism. I can easily imagine Mongolia being a beef, wool, coal exporter like Australia.

>>217668735
No one is born the same and countries with deep inland territories will always lag behind in economic and technological development. But we are independent and we need to thank our ancestors for this and try to maintain our sovereignty as long as possible. We don't exist, we survive, brother.
>>
>>217670077
sure physically better of in china i guess, but mentality and the spirit of a nation matters more than most people think, chinese people are low t incels despite their development but mongols are proud high t people with a sense of community and culture despite being poorer.
Theres unlimited potential as an independent people, but as a subjugated people, theres no potential, will forever be in the shadows of the ruling ethinic group being told what to do and who to become as a person, but as a poor but independent people, you can do whatever you want with your land, govern the way you want to govern and have limitless potential

well the US is in a very different situation with a blessed geography, but the concept of declaring independence from a ruling empire, risking failing as a civilization sometimes succeeds
>>217670087
yes thats my point, mongolia has so much potential but the incompetent government fucks it up, i genuinely believe mongolia will be a 1st world tier country with effective institutions and governments, firstly most simply there will be no theft meaning money that couldve built 5 power plants wouldnt be stolen in a year. Replace the state with AI unironically
>>217670151
True man, thanks for the hopeful post brother, the thieves who steal the potential of nations which their ancestors sacrificed to make sure they were independent are the most immoral people
>>
>>217670087
>Your low population means you can easily grow through agriculture, mining and tourism
Low population does the opposite.
