I have visited quite a few countries in the recent years because my gf always want to travel, even though I'd be perfectly happy visiting my parents or hers for a couple of days. It's not that I don't enjoy it once I'm there, but clearly I don't have that drive that pushes me to explore the world, even though I wish I would.Do women in your country love to travel more than men? Why do you think that is?

>>217679079Back in the day when travelling meant going through a gruelling trial that could claim your life, exploring was a man's calling exclusively.Nowadays that you can travel in comfort and with all amenities and no stakes are being put up, women do it a lot more while men would rather be left alone.
>>217679203We go to cheap countries mostly, its not exactly luxury

>>217679079oh yeah been there. my ex made me burn a months salary so we could go to Bali. Im like you I think, traveling has never been my cup of tea and never longer then a week the vacation isn’t endless ffs. no I rather spend the bulk of my vacation money on useful stuff
>>217682062It is frustrating when you just want a day off doing nothing but then you remember you paid several hundred euros to be there already so why do something you could do at home etc.
>>217679079>Do women in your country love to travel more than men? Why do you think that is?I don't think its limited to women; everyone wants to meet new people and see new sights.
>>217684590I can talk to people here
>>217679079I started travelling to have sex with sea-women. After I married one I travel with her to see new places and try new food. I enjoy it, but I enjoy staying at home gaming as well. Just do things in moderation.
>>217687321I prefer talking to diverse people in real life, face to face. This board is a limitation, but the best that technology can afford me.
>>217679079women don't like reading non-fiction so they don't get as much out of historical accounts, whereas I can create an entire world in my brain just by reading other people's words.
>>217679079>Do women in your country love to travel more than men? Why do you think that is?This certainly seems like a popular opinion online. I suspect this is partially because many more women than men have social media profiles dominated by travel photos, and many more men than women spend a lot of time looking at women’s Instagram stories and then broadcasting their opinions about them. But it has never seemed true to me, in either of my countries (US/CH). My sample is probably biased, because I really enjoy travel, as do most (but not all) of my friends, male and female. And I think men outnumber women by a lot among the “perpetual traveler/vagabond/digital nomad” types, as well as among solo travelers and people with extreme tastes (dangerous travel, traveling on extremely low budgets, visiting extremely remote or seldom visited places, etc.). Anyway, my wife and I both like traveling, more or less equally, but we each have our own preferences (she likes beaches and skiing more than I do, I like decaying post-communist shitholes more than she does, I can put up with worse accommodations than she can, etc.).My brother, meanwhile, ultimately enjoys traveling when someone else compels him to do it (such as when he’s invited on trips with friends or family), but if left to his own devices he’d happily stay home, or at least stay local, forever. Justdifferent priorities.>tl;dr: I don’t think women actually like to travel much more than men, if at all. But they’re more likely to be visible online while doing it.
