The Spanish high-speed rail network is the longest HSR network in Europe with 3,966 km (2,464 mi) and the second longest in the world after China's. It will reach 5,000 km (3,106 mi) with the completion of the Basque Y and several other lines by the late 2020s and be almost as long as France + Germany + Italy combined. Total planned length is expected to reach 10,000km long term.
no thanks, I don't wanna die
>>217679820KTX-1 trains we got from the Fr*nch are filthy, cramped, shabby, and slow as shit. Imagine cooperating with Frogshit ""engineers"" instead of German or Japanese ones. It's like asking a Finn to open up a bistro in your building.
>>217679820only one line
Boolet
>>217680224(You) need high quality Spanish trains. 380km/h speed (design), very spacious, very clean. French trains are no good, they don't build quality stuff over there, they're amateurs.
>>217679820None and no money to build nor enough people to justify it. Would only be made if we got billions in EU gibs but we never get anything, we only pay (even though we have the worst economy in all of EU)
>>217679820
>>217680224yet they're still in full service 20+ years later due to exceptional reliability
Here's your train bro
>>217684814>tfw Toronto-Quebec City high speed rail won't break ground until 2029, and even then only the ~180 km Ottawa-Montreal segment will be built initially
>>217680189S-106 Avril was a huge flop, let's hope they fix it with the new S-107.I don't get it, S-102 were nice, and the refurbished S-130 worked ok (the later were noisy on tunnels due to the lack of pressurisation, but they were refurbished from preexisting series 7 carriages)
>>217684907>first segment is ottawa-montreal with laval stopWho asked for a Laval stop? They're already connected to Montreal's metro system anyway. Just go straight to Montreal.
>>217685075Are they even going to build further east to Laval or stop in Montreal for phase 1? Large cities usually get extra stations to prevent people in the outer ring from traveling to the centre to take the train and create extra congestion at the downtown station.
>>217680789Are you of drugs? No train speeds over 300 km here due to issues with ballast on the track bed.(Rocks start to fly and hit the bogies at 330). They are planning to upgrade the Madrid-Barcelona line to 350 km/h using a new set of sleepers, and improvements to the layout in Catalonia.
