Why do people hate on San Francisco so much?

I was there 2 weeks ago they finally removed the fentanyl addicts and homeless camping on the sidewalks. The tenderloin was not even that bad.It was awful a few years back when I had to visit for business. Guess they improved leadership

1. It's completely unaffordable to live in unless you're a tech worker (10% of the population at this point)2. Drug addicts engaging in counter-social behavior are everywhere, openly using in public, because the government refuses to prosecute them3. Both of these things are the result of their very progressive government enacting the same left wing policies they insist are superior, both in terms of morals and efficacy, to what the rest of the country believes in

>>217706970It's just prosecutorial discretion. Especially in big cities they have to pick and choose what their priorities are, and even if there are 100 murders, 200 rapes, and 10,000 drug use cases, most of the time they'll want to work on the violent crime cases.

But I have to watch my back in some areas given the rampant drug problem. Also made a habit on only eating at grocery stores because of how expensive the food is.
