>>217714127>Have you ever wondered why it doesn't snow in 3rd world countries? No, because I understand how climates work. It doesn’t snow where I live, either, and whichever world you prefer to assign the USA to these days, my local area remains moderately wealthy by national standards, extremely wealthy by global standards, at least for now. And it snows in the mountainous bits of more than a few extremely poor countries. So I think the presence or absence of snow is not a very good indicator of third world status.

>>217714478California (specifically, in an upper middle class suburb in the Bay Area). And it does actually snow in the mountains in this state, but the snow is a long drive from where I live. So perhaps I am stretching the truth when I claim snowlessness. But I still maintain that snow isn’t a reliable indicator of wealth. Never snows in Singapore or the Gulf states, either, and they’ve got plenty of money. Plenty of snow in Nepal, and they’re largely broke.
It barely snows here anymore, I remember having months of snow and -25C temps, now it snows 3 times at most - in the cities that is or at least where I am.
>>217715335Cali sounds great that's everyone in the US wants to live right?>Plenty of snow in Nepal, and they’re largely broke.Yeah, snows in my state too, and we're largely a 5th world shithole. But the cities recieve less snow these days, in my childhood it was really thick
>>217715561>Cali sounds great that's everyone in the US wants to live right?People either love it or absolutely hate it. Most of the horror stories about it are wild exaggerations, if not just complete falsehoods, but at least some of them are based on truths. It has some of the very best things this country can offer, if you can afford them, and it also has some undeniable problems (although people who are most likely to be outraged, frightened, or disgusted by these problems, seldom identify the things that are genuine problems correctly). But I have lived in five states in four very different regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and now West Coast), and I’ve found the quality of life here my favorite among them, by an enormous margin.
snow is gay anyway
