Why did Morocco become more popular than Egypt?
>>
>>217729591
90% of those tourists are just refugees trying to cross to europe since Morocco is just 13 kilometers
>>

Because Egypt is ghetto and has nothing to offer besides pyramids
>>
they have a king.
it's an overall superiority of monarchies to republics.
>>
>>217729591
There are more Moroccans with European passports going back home, also Egypt is such a backward hellhole it makes Morocco looks civilized in comparison.
>>
>>217729722
there aren't any real republics in the world, maybe China, our neoliberal democratic system has made it impossible for a republican system to be allowed, now that I think about it El Salvador is a republic
>>
>>217729591
egypt is anti-tourism and morocco is pro-tourism its fairly easy to see why

We've probably saturation for the Pyramids and the various tombs that they have in Egypt. What else is there there? I'm not entirely up to date on Egyptian politics, but I'm pretty confident that el-Sisi is a brutal dictator, which generally turns people off.

Morocco has more variety between the architecture and the picturesque Sahara. It's also less of a dictatorship than Egypt, and substantially less brutal from what I understand. For whatever reason, it's also in the, uh, vacation zeitgeist more than Egypt; everyone I know seems eager to go there, or has gone there, which makes their friends and relatives more likely to visit, creating a chain effect.

Because Morocco is ally of the United States. By this, the social medias and cultural industry pushes a positive agenda for Morocco.

Egypt is full of scammers.
>>
Cairo is the closest thing on Earth to a hive city from 40K. Marrakech is like Tokyo in comparison
>>
Moroccan women are allowed to have sex with foreigners

>there aren't any real republics in the world, maybe China
>A one party state is more democratic than multiparty democracies because China doesn’t have capitalism (China has capitalism too though)

Safer, much fewer people trying to scam you
>>
>>217729591
Because Egypt is one of the worst countries in the world for tourists. Awful people.
>>
>>217729591
(((Tourists)))
>>
>>217729591
Been to both and I enjoyed Egypt a lot more despite the fact that it's objectively more of a shithole.

Yep. Add a dash of scamming and sporadic sexual assault (especially on White women - if you're blonde you're guaranteed to be groped) and you have basically the India of MENA. God have mercy we've somehow turned one of the best spots on the planet into a giga shithole.
