Sometimes yes, but it takes an amount of liquor unfit for consumption by a lone person

2 very good beers anon
Today I'm taking a break from drinking, probably until Christmas. A Croatian friend and his wife are going to visit me on Christmas, then we're going to drink a week's worth in a day lol.

This year, I took a 12-week break from drinking. In this time, my tolerance level did decrease, and the effects of alcohol became stronger right after the break and more pleasant. I'm planning on doing this again starting in 2026.
>>
>>217732437
Bought a crate of pic related for around 8€. What's your favorite cheap beer internationally speaking?
>>
>>217733867
Internationally speaking I never drink beer because bottom shelf spirits are cheaper and both taste bad anyways

8 euros for 20 bottles? Cheaper than water. I would say oettinger is a good cheap option.

The left one was chosen by my brother, the right one was chosen by me.

I hope the break makes your Christmas merrier! Enjoy!

First beer today. Strong Belgian abbey beer, malty, spicy, candy-like after taste, really nice, will try more variety from this brewer.
>>217735282
You said internationally. The best local option at that price range is better since oettinger is around 1.4 euros per bottle here. Grivita beer, try it if you ever stumble upon it somehow.

It became worse in last years, but it's good. And of course you have never had it, it's our local brand. We have some beer factories who imitate western brands or just create something similar to look western. Recently I found their new "line of production", they've started to imitate Kozel also, picrel.
>>
>>217735875
> but it's good.
Still pretty good for its price I mean. It still has kind of the taste it's supposed too and it doesn't damage as much as some cheap beer on the next morning.
A bottle of it is ~0.63 euro by current exchange rate.
>>
>>217735875
Oh good. I was hoping that was close enough
I'd say I'll try to remember that but to be honest I'll probably forget I was here by tomorrow

Depends entirely on the day and what’s still left in stock. Today it is this for €4.95, which is actually rather expensive by my standards. Last week I was having a great time when they discounted the €3 Bordeaux to €2.25, but then somebody drank it all. After that there was also a rather nice Spanish bottle of €3.20 Merlot, but then somebody drank all that too.
So today this is the cheapest thing left.

We don’t do that in France

New beer. Piraat tripel, had the normal version yesterday. Can say that its preety much the same but this is more concentrated and hoppy.
>>217735875

Kek. We kinda do that too. Local Kozel beer is manufactured in Romania and its not the same as the original from Czechia.
>>217735913
>A bottle of it is ~0.63 euro by current exchange rate.
Damn. Thats really good. You dont hve draconic taxes on alcohol i guess. Im curious now. Whats the cheapest beer in Russia and how much is it?

Dont you have those cardboard boxes of sangria for 1 euro a liter?
I used to drink mostly white wine and the cheaper options were always acidic af and gave me acid reflux and really bad hangovers.
Btw. Do you think the wine that you export is better or worse than what you can buy in stores in France?
>>
>>217736186
>You dont hve draconic taxes on alcohol i guess
We have actually. It's just our income is lower too overall.
>Whats the cheapest beer in Russia and how much is it?
I haven't checked for some time. Some years ago it was ~0.31 eur by the current rate. Nowadays I wouldn't find such probably. Probably the cheapest one now is like ~0.48 euro per 0.5L bottle.

I never really drank French wine outside of France because it’s up charged as fuck. Italian wine too. Spain seems like the only European country that exports wine to Anglos at reasonable prices. In Britain I would have mainly drank our own special fine wine.

About the same as here actually. Cheapest here is around 60 cents for half a liter but we got some 3 liter bottles for 2 euros for hardened homeless alcoholics.
Anyway. I remember really liking the beer in pic, really nice beer that isnt trying to copy foreign brands.
>>217736499
Best price/quality wine i tried was from South America lol. Argentinians make incredible malbec and its incredible that you can buy a bottle for like 7 euros.
Used to be an italian wine that i really liked for 5 euros a bottle, was a pinot grigio from Epicuro.
Also gewurztraminer from Alsace by Arthur Metz is a great affordable French wine.

This one in your pic isn't cheap. It's ~2.55 euro per 1L bottle.
>3 liter bottles for 2 euros for hardened
I think it's forbidden her. At least there were some laws about that some time ago. Now you can buy in the supermarkets and alcomarkets only something like 1.5L and 1L at max.
But in the places with "taps" they have very different kind of bottles, so there's should be one for 3 litres too.

I'm surprised that you even have them. Sanctions cut us off from outer world we barely see any products from the western markets.
I've even seen some Chinese beer, tried it once it tastes like water. And the permille was almost like water too... They were like what, 3.9% or something?
>>
>>217737016
We still got a few Russian beers. The sanctions just made them expensive, you can still find them, can even get Belarusian beer from a local store.
>I've even seen some Chinese beer, tried it once it tastes like water.
Only tried Tsingtao... The Japanese like those kind of beers, Asahi tastes like nothing but its intended to be like that, they even have a Japanese term for beer that tastes like nothing.
They like beers with no aroma whatsoever.
>>
>>217736802
thanks! cheers to you!
yeah that brand make surprisingly good, cheap and widely available stuff (every żabka has it)

Kek. Didnt know. Ive seen 0.44 beer cans here (rarely) but bottles are either 0.33 or 0.5

>>217738089
It's kinda retarded, but we have different kind of bottles. Like 0.48, 0.45 and 0.5. I guess for 1L and 1.5L we also have something similar to avoid some shitty laws or something.
I also remember some bottles of 1.3L and 0.475.
