There's a 2006 comedy film called Outsourced which centers on a white expat who goes to india and experiences literal hell on earth. From spicy food, to traffic to unhygenic living conditions.

I remember watching this like 15 years ago and laughing too hard in amusement. At that time, the true state of india was only well-known to indians. But looking back now, I find it wild how indians are proud of the fact that their country maintains such nightmarish conditions that no foreigner wants to experience. And even crazier how nothing has changed since 2006

the tv show is better, though I would never admit to watching either ever in real life
