>go outside places like Walmart
>rummage through garbage can and find receipt
>go inside store and load up on same items
>walk outside with cart full of free items
>can also tag up with friends and repeat over and over again

cant they see the time on the receipt?
>>
give Nobel Prize to this great wise brown man!

I've only been asked once to look at my recipt and I told them no. They just let me go. They don't give a damn.
But I'm also not scum who's stealing. Not that I see it as some great crime if it's from a mega corporation.

I had an idea for Ikea. Ikea gives free refills of drinks, so you can go outside and find a used cup in the trash and then bring it inside and refill as much as you'd like.

People working at the exits are usually retirees with nothing better to do, so they're hired to work at below minimum wage.

Sorta like Walmart greeters. They're all 80+ year olds.

What the hell is that
Americans have paid old farts saying hello to them when they go buy their weekly goyslop?
>>
>>217740738
>new trend
it's very very very old, me and my friends used to do that in 2004.

How new are you to /int? You see images of "100+ year old grandpa working at Walmart" images all the time. Or "man works 60 years at Walmart without a single day off rewarded with a banana" type shit.

There are tons of 70-80+ year olds working at Walmart because they have medical debt or they're flat out broke.

I knew about retirees working, it's the greeter part that's bugging me
Is it like nips screaming irashaimase when you enter shops

Do they not have cameras in the store? A receipt doesn't help if they have video evidence of you taking the stuff from the shelves.
>>
>>217743383
American retail corps are obsessed with bending over backwards for the customer and humiliating their workers in the process, when security comes to our store they have a whole list of check ups that they do with employees while customers walk out the door with full carts of unpaid items.
>>
>>217743439
Nigga, cameras don't do shit. Brown University had 4 cameras per 1 student, and they couldn't catch the guy for 7 days until somebody on Reddit gave the answer.
>>
>>217740781
they mainly check for expensive items on the receipt

They do but they really aren't going to bother unless a) you try to run off with something expensive or b) you steal enough that it crosses the threshold from misdemeanor to felony in the local jurisdiction, at which point they'll report the person to the cops. To combat shrinkage (shoplifting) of stuff that gets stolen a lot, they'll put everything behind locked glass.
>>
If I traveled to America I wouldn't pay a single dollar for food. Apparently they only intervene if you steal more than 750$
>>
>>217741400
Arent those fountain drinks more expensive than regular cans… what a retard
>>
>>217746025
This sounds great in theory but mileage varies. Great example of this is Oakland. Oakland's attorney general doesn't like the government so she doesn't prosecute any theft. But as soon as you go across the street into the Emeryville, which is in the adjacent county, laws are enforced and you'll go to jail for stealing a $4 snickers. Which I've witnessed before. Oakland's surviving retail stores either hired armed security to stop people that don't pay or are run by arabs that will let you have it but steal your phone instead.

80 cent drink is cheaper than a $2.50 red bull
