I prefer the east coast, but honestly nothing below D.C. is worth talking about. The west coast is nice because they have cool shit from top to bottom, here on the east coast everything worthwhile is crammed into the northern end.

>>217767143I went to Stanford and lived in the Bay Area and San Francisco for a while before moving to NYC, leaving me with some residual pro-California sentiment. The weather there can’t be beaten, and the outdoors are nice (the bridge is also better than all of NYC’s bridges combined).However, NYC is superior on pretty much every other front. Culturally, I found the arts, from independents to MoMA retrospectives, to be far superior; the same is true for theatre and pretty much anything else of which you can think. The food, similarly, from the cheapest roadside stand to Le Bernardin is better in NYC. I also find people in finance to be better than people in tech. I can’t really speak to anything outside of those two cities alas.
