Young women in America seem very cold and socially stunted in my experience. Is this just a thing in the US? I talk to strangers all the time and I've noticed that young men, old women, and old men are all talkative. But the young women are extremely cold, even rude sometimes. They'll stare at their phones, give one-word responses to questions, and have a combative tone. This isn't the case for the women in my classes, but they're STEM outliers. What's it like in your country?

Any moderately good looking young woman can use social media or dating apps to farm attention from exponentially more good looking men than she could in her day to day life.I hate that this sounds like incel shit, but it's genuinely just the state of the world we live in. Male attention and validation has always been extremely important to young women, but it wasn't until very recently that said attention could be essentially outsourced to all around the world with only a phone and an internet connection.
