Just found out Europeans don't use top sheets. What the fuck.
>>
>>217784785
I don't use one either, unless I'm using it instead of a blanket
>>
>>217784785
HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH AMERICANS
>>
>>217784785
They're subhumans. Exhibit A: >>217784884
>>
>>217784785
I think we do, but I'm not sure if top sheet corresponds to what I'm thinking of. I don't sleep directly on the mattress at least, there's a sheet on top that I change daily
>>
>>217784785
I do this
>>
>>217784785
>a sheet on your sheet
for what purpose?
>>
>>217784785
I was forced to use one after my mum chucked my old matress because i didnt shower for like 5 months
>>
>>217784785
Lol, they are too poor to afford double sheets
>>
I WANT A SHEET ON TE BED
>>
>>217784982
>I don't sleep directly on the mattress at least, there's a sheet on top
That's the fitted sheet. The top sheet is between you and the heavy blanket so your disgusting body doesn't foul it up.
>>
>>217785010
It's a layer between you and the comforter that's easier to wash than the comforter.
>>
>>217785184
I don't use a fitted sheet
>>
>>217784785
It's useful if you often shart your bed otherwise it's just another reason to be lazy and not watch your fitted sheet every two weeks as Dog intended
>>
>>217784785
France has them.
>>
>>217785266
You sleep under the top sheet not on it.
>>
Of course we do? What are you talking about?
>>
>>217785266
That's not what they're used for, stupid. Also most Americans don't actually care if a bit of poop gets on our beds. It's a tiny bit of shit, who cares?

Their diets are better; I went to Europe for 3 months when I was in college, and i stopped sleep sharting completely, it was like a light switch. I wish I knew how to recreate the food I ate during that time; it was awesome.

Are you actually talking about duvet covers? In my cunt and sweden at least we do use a cloth bag that the blanket goes inside of
>>
Mattress -> cotton mattress protector -> flat sheet tucked on to mattress -> top sheet tucked in to the bottom of the bed and 1' up each side -> wool blanket on top, tucked in at the bottom and 1' up each side (number of blankets and thickness dependent on temperature)

Duvets are are for subhumans.

>>217786018
Again, it's just a tiny brown water stain that leaks near your butt. It's not gross, you just wipe it off with a towel. But it's easier if you have a cover so you can just throw it in the wash and not have to worry about it.
>>
... Is this entire thread a shitpost

I'm a 20th century peasant in a house with no heating. I don't understand how people only sleep under a duvet, what do you do when you feel hot? What do you do in the summer? Half the year I only have a sheet covering me and the blanket folded down at my feel, 1/4 of the year I don't even pull the blanket fully up to my head; that's winter only. My bedroom is usually like 12-15c in winter and I try my very best to keep it under 20c in summer, desk top fan always on in summer btw.
>>
>>217786054
>But it's easier if you have a cover so you can just throw it in the wash and not have to worry about it.

This, sometimes I don't even bother if it's just a tiny, tiny droplet, but it's so convenient having a cover you can just toss in the washer. I have several covers that I rotate through in case I'm too lazy.

If your skin is in direct contact with the duvet then you have to wash it every week instead of once a year as God intended. It is an abominable way to live.

This actually happened to me once. I had really bad diarrhea which was completely liquid and pressurized and for a few nights I sharted myself because I couldn't keep it down in my sleep despite shitting multiple times before bed. It was horrible.
>>
>>217786084
This is normal, the others are either baiting or they really just live in the future or something. Although I might stack multiple blankets or a duvet on top of the upper sheet. This is how normal people sleep aka how a bed is usually made. I picture faggots in completely temperature controlled houses might just use a bottom sheet and a duvet but I doubt their parents did that.
>>
My current bastardized setup is a bare mattress with a wool/fake wool top sheet used as a fitted sheet, then a cotton duvet cover with a wool blanket inside as a top sheet, and then a duvet on top.
>>
>>217792584
The only anti-topsheeters ITT are Finns, clearly it has to do with whether or not you have nights hot enough to ditch the duvet

Just sleeping on a stark white duvet with nothing else than the duvet seems completely disgusting and embarassing like a fake bed from google images or a sex in new york style movie where they are having sex scenes every ten minutes on white sterile beds I don't know I'd never ever.
In summer we just sleep under the top sheet. Inbetween seasons we might use the top sheet and a wool blanket instead of a duvet, or a duvet cover with nothing inside.
As I said I refuse to believe that western beds aren't all made the same, it's probably underage or autistic faggots unaware of how a bed is made, who just post about how they sleep and think it's normal.
>>
>>217785184

It's bizarre seeing this thread because I only just learned yesterday that Americans make their beds differently than we do in the UK (we just have a sheet on top of the mattress, and a duvet on top of that, which has a washable cover).

I had no idea wtf a "topsheet" or a "comforter" was until yesterday.

While sleeping I have a sheet above the mattress and a blanket above me. During the day I put another sheet above the other sheet.
To be honest I dont know why. It was supposed to be due to not get smelly from sweat but I'm not sure if it helps.
I change them every 2 weeks or less.

>>
>>217784785
It's easier to replace a top sheet than take the cover off the duvet every time. And in summer you can throw the duvet off and sleep under just the sheet.
People who don't use a top sheet are very weird.
