>>217799581I lived in Kreuzberg for a bit, it's alright, everyone jokes about Berlin being the ghetto of Germany but it's still Germany so it's overwhelmingly safe and basic infrastructure functions. Details to note>Very Middle Eastern in some places, you can find Arab and Turkish writing all over the shops and restaurants in some streets >Very "grimey", a lot of broken glass shards, cigarette butts, graffiti, etc. >Not dangerous (for a man). I walked around alone at night all the time and never felt any suspicions or saw anything sketchy besides drunk men shouting a lot >Lots of performatively poor/edgy young people who have rich parents or comfortable office jobs but still pretend they're 1970s punks living on the edge >Public transportation is very good, the Ostbahnhof gets you anywhere from Poland to the Hauptbahnhof in town and the U8 line has a reputation for being a shitshow but it's really just drunk friend groups and street musicians begging for moneyIf I go back, I'd probably opt to try and live in Prenzlauer Berg
>>217799807Which part of Kreuzberg?
