They have also controlled the practice of burning coal at households during the winter months.I don't think the South Asian countries within the Himalayan belt like India and Pakistan, who are the biggest culprits of this air pollution, have the political will to do something about this.

>>217813315It's not even just lack of political will, but the lack of general civic sense and the existence izzat culture amongst Indians in general.China didn't really have a culture of blatant littering due to complete apathy, or worse, for the sake of gaining izzat/aura (hahaha look how I'm trashing the environment, I know it's bad but nobody can stop me), like many places in India do.Thats why when the factories started to go green in China the pollution situation there actually improved tremendously. If you were to greenify all of India's factories, you'd still get tons of Indians throwing shit everywhere for the sake of it.It'll take generations of education to make it right, and even then, because of izzat+bharati pride against foreign influence, it might not even work out in the end.
The Reddit meme that China completely fixed the issue is just propaganda really.Chinese air quality is still pretty fucking bad although the difference to India is that all of India is a complete shit hole while only parts of China are, even if those are the parts where people live. By some metrics like carbon monoxide concentration the Beijing area is in a league of it's own unmatched by any other place on Earth.A lot of Chinese and Indian niggas are gonna be dying to the effects in a few decades.
