Whenever I've eaten from a Chinese restaurant I've only ever ordered chips and sausage, or maybe chicken. The only "Chinese" food I had from one were fortune cookies and those styrofoam looking things.

I pretty much only go to Sichuanese places for example because they're popular in my southern cities for an accessible taste palate, but if I drive 20 minutes to Chinatown I can get Cantonese, Fujianese, Hakka, Beijinger, Uyghur, Chinese Malay, etc. etc.On the other hand, I can drive 10 minutes into the hood and get a huge overflowing pack of chow mein and Kung Pao chicken for $8 made by Chinese and Mexican people
