Argentina is richer than Brazil and Mexico.
>>
>>217827614
No shit Sherlock
>>
>per capita cope
guyana is richer than everyone by this amazing metric
>>
>PPA
Lmao even. Now search which countries have more millionaires if we’re going by meme metrics
>>
>>217827639
India is richer than Norway according to your logic

>guyana is richer than everyone by this amazing metric
Yes it is, oil money
>>
>>217827639
Holy shit.
I hadn't noticed that Guyana has a higher one than the United States.
>>
>>217827614
>Poor people points

Also gdp per capita doesn't equal income. IIRC, Chile, Panama and Uruguay are far ahead of the rest of the region.
>>
post Street view comparisons
>>
>>217827679
both metrics are shit
>Yes it is, oil money
they're richer than the US to according to that map. well congrats to them then i guess
>>
>>217827639
>>217827689
They just got rich off oil but have a very undeveloped country. It will take decades of spending to even start to catch up on quality of life assuming the government invests well and without corruption. America seems very keen on guiding them tho.
>>
>>217827689
It's traditionally a very por country, but it's GDP exploted when they found oil recently.
It's still a shithole though, I wonder if all that money will ever turn into actual development
>>
>>217827670
>>217827693
It's not like nominal is gonna change anything in Latin America, it's about the same

i've never seen any brazilian saying "i'm going to argentina to make more money" but i've already seen plenty of argies working at restaurants in canasvieiras here
>>
>>217827724
As an associated state, believe it would be more valuable than Puerto Rico.
>>
>>217827614
Trump’s gibs
>>
>>217827771
Exports Imports significant
Income per capita like other anon mentioned where Uruguay and Chile trump. Argentina has no fucking basis regarding their monetary and government crisis
Idk about brazil that much but mexico has a decent economic development only stagnated by a completely asinine political system
>>
>>217827724
>America seems very keen on guiding them tho.
guiding them where
>>
>>217827776
Sure, I bet Argies die for living in a poorer more violent county than their own
>>
>>217827800
To freedom. We love capitalist ethno-states like Napoleon loved city-states.
>>
>>217827776
Same thing happens in Mexico city. Theres even a local joke about them being waiters in la condesa. Nothing against argies i usually like them
>>
>>217827815
>To freedom
what does that even mean
>We love capitalist ethno-states like Napoleon loved city-states.
it's blacks being ruled by pajeets like trinidad
>>
>>217827614
Dominicx bros... we eatin' good on this island
>>
>>217827614
there's no fucking way panama is that rich
>>
>>217827773
that could be america
>>
>>217827884
What are tax havens
>>
>>217827884
The Canal made them rich.
>>
>>217827903
yes but their lives are trash
european tax havens like Luxembourg or even Ireland have incredibly wealthy life to all its citizens, local or not
>>
>>217827928
I wouldn’t say so unless they’re like locals and not americans brits or euros. I think it’s basically the andorra of colombia
>>
>>217827884
Panama only exports one billion dollars.
75% of its income comes from financial and port services.
Increasing its export levels would be good.

>My brown shithole is richer than your brown shithole
And yet its still brown and a shithole. Sad day.
>>
>>217827707
Guyana is the exception, generally GDP doesn't account for the fact that 99% of wealth is concentrated in a handful of people because it rarely happens
>>
>>217828080
Chile and Uruguay are not shitholes though.

PPP is a bullshit magic number somebody took out of their ass and can't be bothered to publish

To begin with that projection is either fake or outdated, latest estimates for 2025 is pic related, straight from the source.

The full name of the indicator is "Gross domestic product (GDP), Per capita, purchasing power parity (PPP) international dollar, ICP benchmarks 2017-2021"
>>
>>217827614
>map for black people
>makes reference to per capita

HOWEVER

The latest available ICP benchmarks (the PPP deflactor) for years 2021 and 2023 are the following, according to the ICP website
>>
>>217827740
> I wonder if all that money will ever turn into actual development
it will, in Tel Aviv
>>
>>217827614
>black maps
Moar like BLACKED maps, amirite lads?
>>
>Poor peoples points

Gdp per capita nominal is more accurate.
>>
>>217828122
They are lol. Only mexico, Argentina and brazil have first world boroughs.

So all you need to calculate the latest estimates are the 2025 GDP per capita values in local currency (also available at the IMF database) and then divide them by the corresponding ICP's 2023 PPP values

>Pretending for even one second that there is a not-shithole stretch of land anywhere south of Texas

There are absolutely no traces of civilization down there. No exceptions.

I did it and only Argentina doesn't make sense, because of their chronic inflation and volatility in exchange rate their PPP needs to be updated each year, 2023 data won't do, Venezuela doesn't even have a number probably because the ICP can't trust anything they report. Still, I don't see us being poorer than Paraguay, this shit is made up on the spot.
>>
>>217827614
Ppp is cope especially for unstable high inflation countries like Argentina.
