the internet was objectively better when it could only be accessed by a large immobile behemoth in your living room that made demonic noises when you turned it on and you actually had to have some degree of technology literacy to do anythingmass adoption and overly simplified user interfaces have been terrible for the world. back when I was in undergrad back in 2014 I had a large auditorium class with ~120 people and we had to do some online quiz thing and screenshot the results and submit it. he roasted the class when only like 20 people actually took a screenshot with the rest just taking a picture with their phones which literally took more time and effort. I cant imagine things have gotten better
