>engine: British >electronic and radar: Thales (Dutch)>Body composite: import (Indonesia have no high steel grade manufacturing)LOLMAO tf we build here? Just assembling premade stuffs
>>217829554The sumatra flood provided perfect excuse for that.
>>217830746I'm pretty sure most military equipment is like that. Russian tanks have french thermals. Chinese used and copied French Helicopters as a basis of their own. European and American equipment is a hodgepodge of various manufacturers. Korea used American and Russian tank experience to make their own K2 Black Panther.
>>217831013no, not all. Some countries have very comprehensive military industries and aim to achieve near total domestic autarky in military engineering. USA, Russia, China obviously, but also France, countries like Israel and Turkey are also trying to get there. Japan, Korea, Germany also but not in all areas.
>>217829508This is good. Congrats to Indonesia. Our shipbuilding is mired in corruption and our latest Gowind frigates are at least 8 years behind schedule.
>>217831783psst we have good old reliable MEKOs if you ever needjust sayin
