that makes elected politicians less beholden to voters because it'd take forever to vote them out if they go against what people want, not very democratic

Democratic terms should be unlimited but every year a citizen is randomly selected and chooses whether to execute the leader or let him continue another year. This will really encourage leaders not to piss anyone off. Find a flaw.
