But I have a soft spot for Turkey and people were always really nice and so friendly there.I think it's kind of bullshit Turkey is considered "outside" of European culture even though it's literally where the latter half of our classical culture comes from (Byzantium), where the earliest European literature is set (Iliad/Troy). There is a lot of hostility towards Islam in the West, but I believe that's driven by people with a certain agenda...In my view Islam is just a branch of Christianity that diverged early due to be separate from Rome. I don't think that would be entirely inaccurate.
