My sister is a college admin and she used to be an obnoxious HR person who gets offended at all the no-no things de jour and obsessed with virtue signalling. Then it all disappeared and she just stopped having opinions and became a workaholic, actively thinks believing in anything is bullshit and fully resigns herself to align with whatever the status quo is. That's precisely what a 'woke' person has always been and they will continue to exist even if their politics change. There's no principle to it whatsoever, woke culture disappeared as quickly as it came.
