The only good metal band I know of from Ireland is Primordial. I saw them in Dublin in October.
I know why Italianon thinks it's an edgy teen genre. I admit I discovered weed at the same time I discovered EW and Black Sab and Kyuss etc. So in high school my friends and I would spend all our days smoking and listening to stoner-doom. But we never grew out of that "phase", and sure it was a phase in the sense that we were exclusively into stoner-domm and we were filtered by the most basic ass black metal for example. But now I'm 29, almost 30, Dopethrone is still my favourite album ever, after the shittons of metal I listened to and discovered since I was 15.In Europe you smoke weed when you're like 16 and then you stop when you become a real adult. In America it's different, I suppose metal is truly an "adult" genre, for different legal and cultural reasons.

I'm the nasty one of my friend group.But we saw them at the Laiterie's backroom in Strasbourg, alongslide Stoned Jesus and I think it was Year of No Light too but I'm not sure, it was like 10 years ago. So the Laiterie is that big concert hall for modern artists, and they used to have a backroom for more confidential artists, usually metal and hardcore etc. 500 people fucking crammed into a small ass room. Now they fused the backroom and the main hall but I digress.Anyway so I wish I could show you but I got the poster for the event signed by each member of Mars Red Sky. I took it off the wall to hang my guitars and I don't know where the fuck I put it, it's in a wardrobe behind a bunch of shit. I don't want to damage it too, I'll put it in a frame before I play around with it. You gotta trust me on that lol.I prefered the Stoned Jesus show, the frontman went bonkers and broke a string, I mean they were on fire. But it was nice shaking hands and chatting with Mars Red Sky, we were so fucking high man I wanted to giggle like a retard so bad, eyes like raisins.Even my friends who weren't into metal listened to Mars Red Sky. Great band. It was a real stoner-doom revival after music started to pop in everybody's algorithm back around 2015, and that's also when Facebook didn't completely fucking suck. Good times.
