Spanish and Italian have harder conjugations with more tenses from Latin that no longer exist in French like future conditional. French has the ideal-sized grammar to convey all nuances of descriptive speech. More tenses than English - which more or less lacks a grammar and is barely a language at all made up by Saxon peasants to speak to their Anglo-Norman overlords. And without the overdone and obsolete grammars of other Romance languages.
ils nous détestent parce qu'ils ne sont pas nous
French is unironically the worst romance language
>>218204218Italian sounds better
>>218204218imagine if napoleon won the war, the European Union of today would be united under the french language, it'd reach from the Azores to Siberia and it'd be by far the largest power of the world. Also germany would have half its current land
>>218204268Speaking about chauvinism...
Start pronouncing whole words, become a pro-drop language, and return to normal R, and then I'll agree with you.
>>218204357non
>>218204357This, French sounds only 70% as good as Italian
>>218204357Italian sounds gay
Also, focus more on the Europe instead of carrying only about Africa and I become even a Francophile >>218204683I've noticed that the younger generation sounds like this, while the older generation sounds elegant. I don't know why, maybe because I know Italian from old movies, and no one ever spoke like that in real life.
>>218204268Bien sûr et l’anglais n’existe pas aussi. C’est du français mal prononcé ou quelque chose
>>218204381es broma Paco
>>218205160ou comment les cuisses de grenouille/les escargots sont cuits
>>218204218How are they obsolete if theyre used in the everyday life?
>>218205708Bullshit, I've been to Spain several times (as a teenager, and against my will, not fan of this country, I'm white and Africa begins at the Pyrenees), I've noticed that the Spanish use "has cambiado" basically in all situations instead of whatever the simple past conjugation of verb "cambiar" is. Plus, they use the fucking pronouns "yo he cambiado" rather than "he cambiado", just like in fucking French. And contrary to the literary Spanish taught compulsorily in French schools.
>>218206450>he thinks being white is a flexLel what a mediocre race
>>218206450we use simple preterite a lot more often here, don't judge the language by its speakersalso notice how the use of perfect preterite in Spain and latin America is more or less the same as in English, it wasn't always like that
>>218206450>they use the fucking pronouns "yo he cambiado" rather than "he cambiado"This is generally not true. Pronouns are only used when you want to emphasize the subject or when the pronoun itself provides all the information needed, for example:- Q: Quién de los dos ha cambiado?- A: YO [he cambiado]>I've noticed that the Spanish use "has cambiado" basically in all situationsDepends on the situation. For the immediate past (yesterday) "he cambiado" is almost always used, otherwise (a year ago) "cambié" is more common.>(as a teenager, and against my will, not fan of this country, I'm white and Africa begins at the Pyrenees)What is the point of this sentence? Why are the french so bitter that they feel the need to insult for no reason at all?
French people are unpleasant to interact with so I refuse to learn their shit language as a result
>>218204218Every italian conjugation has a direct french equivalent except for gerundio
>>218204218Real shame about the spelling though. It put me off French for good. Nothing is spelled the way it sounds. Nothing. It's a fucking nightmare.
>>218208337>Every italian conjugation has a direct french equivalent except for gerundioYou mean ?Il professore sta spiegando la lezione.vsLe professeur est en train d'expliquer la leçon.I think thats becausebwe don't have anymore ester/ser as separate verbs to indicate a strong station
>>218209437>spiegandoYes, that's gerundioEverything else has a direct equivalentMade things a lot easier when i studied French
>>218209503>>218209437Wait, French doesn't have a gerund and continuous tenses? AHAHAHHAHA
>>218204268That double negation bullshit (use of "pas ") is one of the ugliest parts of French
>>218204581Mais si, et qu'ils ne bouffent pas de bites négroïdes chaque heure xx
>>218210476use case for gerund ?
>>218209046Just the end of the word, bro. French for "time", "temps" is pronounced "tan" (nasal) but spelled that way because Latin for it is "tempus." The guys who decided on the French spelling rules knew Latin and were smartasses about it. Basically just ignore of the consonants at the end of each word.
Auxiliary verbs >>> conjugationsSorry, anglos won
>>218207157Yeah, the stereotypes are true.
>>218204218>More tenses than EnglishEnglish de facto has more tenses than French because every tense is used in English, whereas French uses around 6-8, except in antiquated or extremely formal speech.
>>218212540I'm learning Chinese and English "tenses" are the same as Chinese "tenses" and I wouldn't call them tenses at all. Just adding a word like "could" (会) or "will" (要) doesn't constitute a tense IMHO.
>>218212638Why does adding a word not constitute a tense but adding an ending to a verb does?
>>218210910Action taking place at that very specific time
>>218212638This is a meeting (会) and need (要) board
>>218212767Because learning all the different endings to all verbs is harder than learning a mere fucking word and conveys more nuance.
>>218213612>muh complexityyour language is just a jumbled mess mate, Japanese managed it without your endless irregularities and exceptions
