What caused the explosion of hate against Indians in the past 2-3 years? India has always been dirty, Indians have always been emigrating to western countries. So why now in particular? I used a lot of social media as a kid 10-12 years ago to speak to foreigners and rarely ever faced racism. Now it's practically impossible to use any kind of social media without facing racism. And the racism comes from random countries like Iran, Brazil, Japan, Korea... people who have never been to India or met an Indian in their lives. For example when I play chess online, the dude randomly says pajeet cow dung streetfood etc. Same thing happens when I stream music on YouTube.
