>>218258935either you learn enough kanji until you can read it or just brute force it
>>218260808i'm tired emporer........
>>218260836Don't tell me about it, I'm learning at least 20 kanji every day, sometimes 30. No Japanese native would put up with this shit.
>>218260870i usually give out at like 50-200 kanji and admit defeat until 6 months later
>>218260923You have to keep going and revise quickly every day. To learn Japanese you have to shut yourself in a room and go full monk mode for 6 months. When you will have a decent vocab and a good grasp of grammar you won't get any more headaches. I'm at around 400 kanji and I started last month.
>>218260972sounds like i should give up>400 kanji>last monthi've tried probably like a dozen of times since i was like 12 and now i'm 22 so fucking demoralizing
>niggas try to speed run something that takes all native japanese more than 10 years to learn in mandatory school classes
>>218261023I'm 27 now and I got so addicted to learning that I get bored if I don't try cramming words. AI is your best tool and it's free if you want to analyze sentences or just memorize words but you will have to go through a painful process of memorization first.>>218261060Japanese people learn the spoken language first and that's a huge boost for them. I got so good at cramming kanji that when I see repeating patterns I don't even need to work that hard to memorize them. It would be interesting to see how natives would react to memorizing 30 kanji every day.
Oh well it says it's around 355 but I didn't add the simple stuff like colors, days of the week, pronouns, honorifics etc. so in reality it should be around 400 unique kanji. One simple exercise you can do to help yourself is ask ChatGPT or Gemini to show you the names in English, then visualize the kanji of the words in your mind. If you can successfully visualize all of them then the job is done.
Here is a little cheat code on kanji, learn the radicals, rest is just going by vibe. 頑張ってください!
>>218261611>rest is just going by vibeyou will recognize the kanji if you drill them really well into your head
>>218261121this you?>I'm 27i'm remoralized
>>218261611that's a fucking lie
>>218261772i'm not a ukropig
>>218261121just learn the radicals bro. They're 210.Learning kanjis alone is like learning complete words instead of learning first the alphabet.
>>218261808did you start selling ur asshole to 50 year old childless asians yet?
>>218260972Erai!
>>218261822>learning complete wordsthat's what I'm doing, no time to build blocks with radicals, and I'm already starting to do that myself without radicals
>>218261677>>218261800When I started back in 2014, I used to write them over and over and over by hand and attach a meaning to them. Worked for me, but many hate this method. Grammar was the hardest to grasp, I had terrible headaches until I didn't. I did brute force it, and I was like a teenager NEET and reading Visual Novels, JAV, and Manga so take from that what you will.
>>218261880i watched minecraft mod reviews on youtube xF and that's how i learned englishi got from barely proficient to like C1 by watching anime fucking curiously enoughjapanese is just something i always wanted to achieve, i stopped caring about VNs and anime (or vidya or music or anything i guess) it's just something i want to do to prove to myself
>>218262001>that's how i learned englishThat one was easy, they aired CN untranslated here, and I watched that 24/7 during the whole 00s. Same case for Japanese, I watched subbed / raw anime during the late 00s / early 10s (on top of every other J-media you can think off) and then proceeded to learn the writing system and it suddenly all made sense. This was by 2015, the rest of the decade I spend procrastinating. Learning languages is easier when you are a kid. Ironically I was supposed to learn Polish too but I never could manage that, it is harder than Japanese to me.
A great reason to learn Japanese today is because translations of J-Media have gotten so bad, localization straight out of the 90s has made a return. And really, there is so much Japanese content that will never get translated, EVER. Plus, you now understand the work itself and not rely on an interpretation. Plus Japanese YouTube opens up to you, there are great channels there. I am just a pure-blooded Otaku for 2 decades now so Japanese pays off tremendously, I wouldn't have kept up if I didn't have a use or 愛 for it otherwise.
