If you want the truth from someone who was born here but knows a lot of illegal immigrants, at first people were spooked but it's been a year and nobody I know has been deported. Low border crossings are a result of the high cost of living making it less attractive to come work in the United States
It seems like they are doing a few high level raids in red states like Georgia but not the systematic deportation that the media said would happen. They absolutely could if they wanted to though
