Genuinely, Latin American countries should just give up trying to be their own entities and Anglicise their societies. Switch the language of law and education to English entirely and in 20 years you will have a fully English speaking country, which is already happening. Rich Latinos who consume English speaking content learn English, as many who read this will well know because they are exactly that kind of person. It makes no sense to tie yourself linguistically to a small decaying country like Spain when your biggest trading partner is the world superpower.
