>Stephen Elop (born 31 December 1963) is a Canadian businessman.>He was Nokia's first non-Finnish CEO.>He is best known for his ill-fated tenure as Nokia CEO from 2010 to 2014, which included controversies such as the "burning platform" memo and the company's partnership with Microsoft, resulting in the move to Windows Phone software exclusivity. He was criticised for some of his decisions, which resulted in the company suffering massive losses both financially and in market share.
>>218227341Why did Swedes kill them?
>>218227341Nokia is still one of the largest, if not the largest, companies in Finland measured in revenue and one of the largest western companies in communications technology. Why do you think it's dead?
>>218228020Because it's not as public as it used to be. People dont see a lot of Nokia phones anymore, but before almost everybody had one or atleast seen many of them. People don't see them and think that they're died. On the other hand, Nokia is practically dead as a phone producing company, atleast it was until recently, I saw some new Nokia phones being released some time ago.
