It's all connected. This kind of explains why so many flags with red in the motif tend to have the red either in the center, bottom, or on the right side (facing China).

Believe me when I say: Louisiana is far more powerful than most realize. Don't believe me? Consider how significant the "Louisiana Purchase" was, and the fact that Louisiana itself is like a mini-country; northern Louisiana is very different from the Bayou area. They even speak a variant of French that is unintelligible to standard French speakers.
