Growing up in poverty not really unless you count extreme cases of poverty which influences your nutritional intake in childhood which stunts your physical and mental growrth.But having unemployed parents definitely affects your negatively. I have 2 colleagues, they're brothers 5 years apart living in two different places. and I swear to God both of them pray to the heavens every single day something bad happens to them so they can get an extended paid medical leave and have an excuse to not show up at work. They were raised by permanently unemployed mom (who despite staying at home 24/7 in the countryside and having access to FREE fresh produce still fed them microwaved store-bought dinners) and a father jumping from job to job faking all sorts of medical illnesses so he could stay at home, sleep until noon and watch TV chain smoking cigarettes until midnight. I remember one job he had was like 5 minutes on foot at a leisurely pace and he still took time to start his car in the morning to drive there. Whats more ridiculous is that the gate was operated manually so every morning he had to open the gate, start his car, wait for it to warm up because carburetor, drive out and close the gate behind him. This whole routine took him longer than if he actually fucking walked there.Both brothers have the audacity of complaining they're not compensated well enough. What a miserable fucking life.
