Eastern style furry art and costumes all have that flat, wide, ultraneotenous look to the degree that it's often hard to even tell what species it's supposed to be (arr rook same), while western furry art and costumes have pointier, more protruding features that are more distinct between species and tend to be less neotenous. It's basically the same as eastern vs western cartoons and east asian vs white facial anatomy.
