does the korean and japanese still hate each other?
>>
nah, I love them
>>
as much as argies and macacos hate each other
in other words, only some of them
>>
I've never met a Japanese person who hates Koreans, and these days Korean music is popular among teenage girls with no musical training, and Korean dramas are popular among mature women with no formal education. I think many Korean people hate us, but things are changing among young people. If we ever have to leave Earth and terraform planets, I hope we Japanese live on a planet all to ourselves, and that the nearest planet is the Korean planet, not because I like them, but because I like the other countries less.
>>
>>218300000
did you always love them?
>>218300026
interesting perspective.
>>218300066
i used to see tons of japanese who really hated koreans, usually on random messageboards, twitter, some random figures such as sakurai makoto, etc. after the pandemic i barely see korean hate anymore, although i still see a lot of chinese hate.
i only see people hating against koreans on 2ch (current 5ch) on these days, which is most populated by 60 year olds (it's also funny sconsidering that watkins son is half korean)
>>
>>218300203
current 5ch and eddi is mostly a leftist shitholes
>>
>>218299970
ofc yes. why did you even ask?
>>
>>218299970
Koreans I’ve met in person were good guys.
One looked like a typical otaku and the other looked like he came to study here to fuck girls but they were both polite.
>>
>>218300203
I should have specified “in real life”.
>>
>>218299970
It's 90% politics and online nationalists.
>>
>>218300560
Do you expect him to see that many japanese in real life or? He is giving you his perspective on the subject which obviously will be from online accounts
>>
>>218300066
I think a lot of people are more neutral than popular media paints them to be. it's inflammatory that group A hates group B and said some insane thing which makes the news.
I like you japanon and would make dinner for you if you came to my house! where's the news about that? it will never exist
>>
>>218300333
i honestly don't lurk on their politic/news boards at all, i just see people talking about koreans on the most random boards possible (the convenience store one for example)
>>218300560
makes sense.
>>218300605
to be fair i talk with a fair amount of japanese elders from time to time since my region got tons of them, but we never talked about koreans or japanese politics.
>>
>>218299970
>the korean and japanese still hate each other?
I didn't know that, thanks.
>>
from what i can tell (not limited by actual experience) some koreans are still a bit salty over what happened before and during WWII while the japs give them either the middle finger or simply deny all war crimes
not my fight, but japs should learn their own history
>inb4 unit 731 was a medical research facility
>>
>>218300973
Chinese dislike Japs for the same reason
Really it would had been pretty easy to sort out relations by now if Japan only took accountability. But they refuse, so theres these negatives vibes like they havent reformed at all post WW2
>>
>>218300894
The media always talks about it, perhaps it's a japanese boomer thing.

The hate mostly comes from anti-Japanese leftists in Korea
>>
>>218300973
>koreans are still a bit salty over what happened before and during WWII
Japan doubled the population of the Korean peninsula, modernised Korea, ended slavery, brought industrialisation, modern medicine, education, infrastructure, economic prosperity etc. Why would Koreans by salty about that?
>simply deny all war crimes
Prove alleged war crimes
>japs should learn their own history
You're the one who doesn't know real history
>>inb4 unit 731 was a medical research facility
Unit 731 was for epidemic prevention and water purification. "Human experiments" is communist propaganda
>>
>>218301108
>Chinese dislike Japs for the same reason
Chinese dislike Japan because they've been brainwashed by CCP propaganda
>Really it would had been pretty easy to sort out relations by now if Japan only took accountability
Take accountability for what? Japan was acting in self defense during WW2. Sure some bad things happened (it was war after all) but bad things happened on all sides. You don't demand America and Britain to constantly apologise for their war crimes so why unfairly hold Japan to a different standard?

To be honest, the whole "the three east asian countries all hate each other" is kind of an overblown meme, at least among the youths. However many boomers and their parents lived thru the horrors of WW2, so I cant speak for them.

The most you'll get from a conversation between 3 young dudes from each of the different ethnicities is probably just some racial banter, and sometimes our face cultures can make the banter turn bad faith + ugly though, but thats about it

The only people that truly care about our past grievances are the jaded & bitter old, and the overtly political yet naive young. The governments in each country may pretend to care about said grievances, but imo its all just a superficial cover to advance their country's own geopolitical interest.

I dont think any of our politicians genuinely give a shit about "muh korean comfort women!!!", or "muh nanking rape!!!", or "da CCP fabricated everything!!!!", it's all just political theatre used to declare bogus moral justifications to steal resources from one another
AKA its all fake and gay, just like western politics. Normal people genuinely dont give a shit or spend any minute in their lives harbouring such pointless hatred over things that happened 80 years ago.
>>
>>218302564
I've been to all 3, and I'm Asian as well, so I get inside info that they won't ever tell white people. I think for young people, if you were to give them 3 categories: I hate X people, I don't care about/don't mind X people, and I generally like X people, then on average you will have most people in the middle category for Japanese niggas; your average person will just be neutral, because they don't interact or think about what others are thinking about them. You also have hardcore members of the other 2 categories, and of course given how the internet works, they are the loudest and given the most attention, and they drown out the average person who truly doesn't care and since they don't cars, they aren't on the internet arguing with people about how much they don't care. So most people, whether they're from the country or are foreigners looking at the situation, will only see arguments and internet posts from the afformentioned other more extreme groups, which doesn't at all reflect the situation at large.

All that being said, I think on average, your average Chinese youth is more likely to skew "I hate Japan and Japanese people" than Koreans, and on the same hand, your average Japanese and Korean youth will go with "I hate China and Chinese people". Are they more numerous than the normies in the middle? Of course not. But again, they're are the loudest and most obnoxious and they're the ones getting their butthurt internet posts translated, so they're the ones that white people base their conception of east Asia upon.

>tldr: you only see what other people what you to see/what people want to show. You only hear what other people want you to hear/what people want to say. The vast majority of a group, all the nomroids, don't care enough to be seen or heard, and only care about normoid shit, like affording groceries, video games, a career, getting pussy, starting a family, buying a house, getting a raise and all that shit
>>
>>218302815
>your average Chinese youth is more likely to skew "I hate Japan and Japanese people" than Koreans
Usually only the ones who get too engrossed in history and partyline politics. Imperial Japan is simply used as the political punching bag to drum up nationalism whenever faith in government is low in China.

Back during the 2020-2021 COVID lockdowns in China, anti-japanese content was coincidentally at an all-time-high in weibo/douyin/xiaohongshu, I wonder why..

>your average Japanese and Korean youth will go with "I hate China and Chinese people"
Again, same logic, because Korea and Japan is heavily embedded in the American Hegemonic system, whose biggest global adversary/threat post-2015 is China.
It's really all just geopolitical theatre. And only the naive midwits who have nothing better to do with their lives eat it all up.

Unfortunately, the population of naive midwits with nothing better to do has increased everywhere because of global unemployment (thanks to AI and tariffs), so you'll be seeing more sheeps from all sides parroting the same few overblown grievances we have with each other.

It's not just us east asians who experience this, but the whole world as well.
X is literally becoming a bigger unironic nazi haven every single day, and conversely Bluesky has turned into the biggest congregation of genuine hardline communists.
IMHO the ultimate cause for all this extremism is really just growing unemployment.

Wandering minds come from idle hands. And there are too many idle hands whose minds have wandered off the edge these days.

koreans main target is clearly china these days
some jap "far-rights" i know still openly express that they dislike korea much more than china, but in korea today, declaring oneself "pro-china" is worse political suicide than being pro-japan
for instance, even though the current president is far-left, he cannot take china's side in the ongoing sino-jap shitflinging
personally i'm surprised by my contrarian nature as i feel myself becoming increasingly neutral about china
>>
>>218302403
and now i know for sure you're that autist posting under the nip flag posting the same shit over and over again
no, trying to spread the black plague as a weapon is well documented so i hope you get the treatment you try to whitewash.
>>
>>218305362
I'm of the staunch opinion that last year, when your former president declared a state of emergency in order to purge political opponents, he fucked up big time by giving "North Korean spies" as the reasoning. Nobody gives a fucking dog shit about North Korea spies, this ain't the 50s, and he's too boomer coded to realize it. If however he said the reasoning was to root out "Chinese spies", I think he would have been given a medal of honor for his dedication to the Korean government and people. No idea why he didn't just go around accusing his enemies of being Chinese, the Korean people would have hailed him has imperator and called for him to cross the Rubicon had he done that, he easily becomes dictator of he wants. Instead he torpedoed his entire life/career, and now we gotta see him and his plastic surgery disgusting wife with fake skin cry about handbags for the next few years.

I remember seeing a rally against chinese tourists in korea recently
I always assumed that anti chinese sentiment in korea comes from the ccp being one of the most important allies to north korea, but i may be wrong
