The manual transmission is less common, but the V6 variants are very common. I have the 1.8L 4 cylinder turbo. Have it tuned to 242hp and it's still making 33mpg which is better than the manufacturer claim and I still meet emissions standards. It's probably the most sturdy Mercedes platform after 2000. I have thought about getting a GLK diesel as my next daily, still based on the W204 platform.
