Kek, this is precisely a word that is consistent with the Altaic hypothesis. In Turkic languages the word is usually something like "ata", in Mongolian it's "aav", in Tungusic languages it's "ada" and similar. The hypothesis states that all of these languages have a common origin. Are all of them European too?
