Thanks to the previous laws made by that government, all laws today must be recorded as gender neutral. So the clerks in the government office came back to the government and said, you have to ban all child genital mutilation, you can't only ban it for girls.There was some back and forth with the government seething and the clerks always pointing out it has to be gender neutral. Eventually the government left the law on the table, and the election happened. It was just virtue signalling from the beginning but if they had went through with it they would've accidentally banned circumcision.
