>若有信解心 受持讀誦書If with a mind of faithful understanding one memorizes, recites or writes down,>若復教人書 及供養經卷Or else instructs another to write, or make offering to the sutra,>散華香末香 以須曼薝蔔Scattering perfumes and incense over it, using sumanas flowers or Campaka wood,>阿提目多伽 薰油常燃之Or atimukta grasses, burning always these fragrant oils,>如是供養者 得無量功德Those who make such offerings will attain immeasurable blessings>如虛空無邊 其福亦如是Just as empty space is limitless, so too shall be their merit>況復持此經 兼布施持戒How much more so those who preserve this sutra, as well as practicing charity and keeping the precepts,>忍辱樂禪定 不瞋不惡口Showing forbearance and taking pleasure in meditation, never angering or speaking ill words>恭敬於塔廟 謙下諸比丘Respecting the stupas and showing modesty before monks>遠離自高心 常思惟智慧Distancing themselves from conceited thoughts, always contemplating wisdom>有問難不瞋 隨順為解說Not becoming angry at difficult questions, but explaining accordingly for others>若能行是行 功德不可量Should one be capable of practicing these acts, their merit shall be inconceivable>若見此法師 成就如是德Should one see these Dharma teachers achieving such merits,>應以天華散 天衣覆其身They should scatter heavenly flowers over them, and cover their bodies with heavenly garments>頭面接足禮 生心如佛想Bowing at their feet, regarding them as Buddhas in their minds>又應作是念 不久詣道場And also one should have this thought: that these soon will visit the Bodhimanda,>得無漏無為 廣利諸人天Attaining what is unsullied and unconditioned, widely benefiting men and devas>其所住止處 經行若坐臥Their places of dwelling, and where they walk, or sit, or lie>乃至說一偈 是中應起塔Or where they teach even a single verse - should raise stupas in these places >莊嚴令妙好 種種以供養Made excellent in their adornment, and by various means paid offering>佛子住此地 則是佛受用Where sons of the Buddha dwell on these grounds, there the Buddha also shall make use of>常在於其中 經行及坐臥At all times present in their midst, walking, sitting and lying
