I spoke to my attorney and decided the best course of action was to withdraw everything I had saved for the kids and set up a separate account she can't access.She found out when she withdrew more money and found it would not support this for long. This turned into another fight over the issue and I told her she couldn't do a thing about it because our kids would still get the money. She called me selfish and said I was ruining our kids' stability to be petty to kids who did nothing wrong. I told her if she hadn't started taking from our kids for these other kids I wouldn't have needed to do it.I have confirmed I'm 100% legally in the clear. That's of no concern to me. But AITAH for withdrawing the money?
I'm an old head and I've discovered that there are two truths about straight edge.Straight edge kids don't know shit.Straight edge kids are right.Substance use is a pit with steep, greased sides. Once you start to slip in, it's very difficult to crawl out. Most straight edge kids don't know this - they just hate or are afraid of mind altering substances. But once you start fucking with them, you're drawn in. The more you fuck with it, the more it sucks you in.Straight edge kids maybe heard about this or have seen it, but they don't know it.But they're right. You start fucking with mind altering substances, they will get some sort of grip on you eventually. Once that happens, it's never the same. It's very hard to go back.It's not hard to be a straight edge kid. It's just being a scared kid. Getting sober, getting in control, when you've seen what it's like to not be in control is difficult. This is not a slight on straight edge. I'm just saying it's much harder to get a grip once you've lost control.I'm putting this out as a former edge kid. If you're questioning your resolve, you need to know that you're better off. You're right. I don't wish an addiction struggle on anyone.

I think we've all seen that games, if they become very famous and respected, create their own genre. Five Night at Freddys popularized the use of animatronics, Dark Souls led to the creation of the Souls-Like genre, Minecraft created the Voxel genre, Harvest Moon popularized farming simulators, etc.But I've noticed that Skyrim, despite being extremely famous and loved, hasn't had much impact on the creation of more games with the same formula.You know, first-person RPG, with cities, NPCs to talk to, dungeons, magic and fantasy. Why aren't there more games like Skyrim? At first I thought it was because something like Skyrim costs a lot of money to create, but then I start to think that Dagerfall and Morrowind were created in a time with much less technological advancement, much less people and much less budget.So why aren't there more?
