When did Latin's grammar get reversed?instead of "thanks much" now all the latinx speakers say "much thanks"
>>218702007I thought Minas Gerais meant "Great Mines"
>>218702051The region had one very specific type of mining, but if I recall correctly it was so plentiful that it made the people wealthy, so they named the territory "thank you" in portuguese, like they were thanking the land
I'm from Minas Gerais
>>218702161isn't everyone's grandma from there
>>218702182Well, mine certainly is
>>218702007Latin had a weird and uncanny word order too, it's a very tricky and odd language
>>218702007Don't worry, thanks much and thank you very much live in in the one trve Latin inheritor, English.
>>218702007I don't speak european portuguese, but something tells me that's not how tugas say "thank you very much".
>>218702410>I don't know but I will pretend I do
>>218702470Today I noticed a very salty portuguese flag here on /int/, specially towards brazilians, did something crawl up your ass, fellow João? Still blaming your failed moor shithole on us?
>>218702470how do you say thank you very much in moortuguese then? is it minas gerais or not?
there's no fixed order in Latin for such expressions, in fact, I can find so far only cases of multas before gratias>sed tamen L. Murenae provincia multas bonas gratias cum optima existimatione attulit>An non properandum mihi erat, ut pro eo honore uobis multas gratias diceremor in some cases summas/maximas>cum te summis laudibus ad caelum extulerunt, mihi continuo maximas gratias agant>Vestorius, noster familiaris, ad me scripsit te mihi maximas gratias agere>Trebatio nostro magnas ago gratias
>>218702525Projected seething>>218702667Obviously it is, if it wasn't then it wouldn't be in the picture.
>>218702099>>218702051It's a joke about Portuguese taking the gold o algo
>>218702410>he doesn't know
>>218702667>>218703747
>>218702099I always thought it was "muito obrigado", and what you mentioned was a place in Brazil....
>>218702007>instead of "thanks much" now all the latinx speakers say "much thanks"Germans say "vielen dank" (much thanks). They are becoming latinx.
