When Captain Cook and his First Fleet established New South Wales as a colony in 1788. Picrel is his first landing in 1780, after they had landed in Botany Bay. Settlement was then officially established after sailing down to Port Jackson and Sydney Cove at that later date on January 26

Killing aboriginals
We pretend it's about barbecues, going to the beach and getting drunk but it's actually a celebration of our conquest of the aboriginal people

For young adults -- stocking up on beers and heading to the beach or another body of water for a good time. For families, going to a petting zoo for the kids with typical family activities themed with Australiana and/or a backyard sizzle with many beers as well
>>218759734
Disease killed abos. We had little to do with that. They can take it up with God if they'd like, Smallpox beats Rainbow Serpent in this world

Good lad. Australia Day and the 4th of July are actually quite intertwined. After the Crown could no longer use Georgia as a penal colony, they sought fresh land for expansion, hence Captain James Cook's expedition. He played a decent part in your naval history as well.

I saw a Swan Lake Ballet performance that indulged in this song & dance routine the other day, and one bloke loudly groaned at the onset of it. Times are changing. The kind of Australians that see a Tchaikovsky quartet are getting tired of the race-baiting activist class

Captain Cook was here in 1770, to claim the land for the crown. Arthur Phillip was commander of the First Fleet and the first governor of New South Wales.
